NSK's Jakarta plant, located in an area with a diverse culture, values its ties with the local community. The plant is actively working to protect the environment and contribute to local society.

Recycling Waste Products

The bearing manufacturing process produces a variety of scrap metal in several forms. Metal waste produced at the plant, including grinding swarf and oil-soaked metal scraps, is separated for re-use in the cement industry as a raw material and an alternative fuel. In addition, used grinding stones are recycled into heat-resistant material used in furnaces.

Reducing Environmentally Harmful Substances

In order to reduce the use of environmentally hazardous substances in the production process, the plant has switched the cooling fluid used in the grinding process to an alternative that does not contain.
